FAQs
Is there an upfront fee or minimum term or minimum patient count?
No upfront fee, no long-term commitment, no minimum patient count.
Is there a Services Agreement and BAA?
Yes. We execute a Services Agreement and HIPAA BAA to protect your practice and patients, and to give you our guaranteed scope and terms in writing.
Who submits the claims?
Usually your billing team. We provide clean-claim reports and denial-management support. If you prefer, we can run full-service RCM.
What does “no reimbursement, no fee” mean in practice?
If an insurance claim for a patient isn’t paid, we won't charge you for the monitoring and care services we provided to that patient connected to that claim. We also help prevent denials and support resubmissions.
Are devices, supplies, shipping, and replacements included?
Yes. Device ordering, procurement, shipping (direct to patient and/or practice), patient device onboarding/training, replacements for damage/stolen, warranties, supplies (e.g. glucometer strips and lancets), and ongoing cellular data plan (for the cellular data chip in the device) are included in the 1bios Managed Device Service, which is part of your simple PPPM fee.
Do we need to pay for an EHR/EMR integration?
No. We post documentation to the patient chart in your EHR/EMR so your team can have everything available in one system. Additional automated interfaces are available for higher-volume programs at no extra charge. Your practice also has unlimited access to all information at any time in the 1bios portal. Automated email and text notifications from our system are also available on a patient by patient and alert rule by alert rule basis. Finally, 1bios is the only RPM/CCM provider to offer our own externally facing API for programmatic pushing and pulling data into and out of the 1bios system.
Do you offer revenue share?
Yes. For eligible practices, we can structure a revenue share agreement instead of PPPM.
Do you offer a software-only plan?
Yes—Software-Only and Software and Devices Only options are available under our Value Added Reseller (VAR) model for care management teams operating at scale (1000+ patients).
What about patient copays?
We create an enrollment strategy that stratifies patients by coverage level (typically from zero responsibility to 20% like other Medicare Part B services). Many patients have no responsibility. We can consult on compliant policy options related to patients who do have a copay to help you determine the best approach for your practice.
